The 140th Canton Fair opens in Guangzhou on 15 October 2026 and runs in three on-site phases: Phase 1 from 15 to 19 October, Phase 2 from 23 to 27 October and Phase 3 from 31 October to 4 November. The venue is the China Import and Export Fair Complex at No. 382 Yuejiang Zhong Road, Guangzhou. This session also marks the 70th anniversary of the fair.
According to a Canton Fair release on PR Newswire dated 22 September, more than 220,000 overseas buyers from 197 countries and regions had completed pre-registration, and professional buyers accounted for nearly 80% of them. Over 32,000 companies will exhibit, and more than 11,000 are recognised as Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovative (SRDI) firms or industry champions.
The organiser says 64% of exhibitors now apply industrial internet and AI technologies in their operations, while new and green products will make up 23.2% and 26% of exhibits, both record highs. More than 700 New Collection launch events are planned, about 15% more than last time, along with a first New Collection Gallery for supplier and buyer matching and seven trade forums.
China's Ministry of Commerce says buyer pre-registration is open year-round on the official website. New overseas buyers who pre-register can apply for badges free of charge at alternative registration offices, including Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou South Railway Station, Pazhou Ferry Terminal, designated hotels in Guangzhou and the Canton Fair Hong Kong Representative Office. Booth-level navigation covering more than 75,000 booths and an upgraded ASKME AI assistant are meant to make it easier to find exhibitors and products.
