On 13 October 2026, CCTV News (carried by China News Service) reported from Nanning International Railway Port that as of 12 October, China-Vietnam trains have shipped 117,000 TEU in cumulative volume since regular operations began, and the port is described as China's largest rail hub for exports to Vietnam.
A loading that day featured polymeric ferric sulfate and auto parts. Export categories have reached 455, spanning electronics, machinery, chemicals, agricultural products and daily goods. Yang Dakun of China Railway Nanning logistics said rail-customs fast clearance moved the service from cargo-dependent departures to a daily scheduled pattern. Full-year 2025 volume was 37,000 TEU; 2026 year-to-date is nearly 30,000 TEU.
The land bridge starts in Nanning, Guangxi, exits at Pingxiang rail port, and runs via Dong Dang and Gia Cuc to Yen Vien, Vietnam, over 387 km under a fixed time, place, train number and route model. Cargo origins cover 25 Chinese provinces and municipalities; overseas coverage includes Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
