China News relayed a CCTV News report on 3 November 2026 that a China-Europe Railway Express carrying auto parts and daily consumer goods departed Erenhot railway port in Inner Mongolia for Europe. The departure marked more than 4,000 middle-corridor trains year to date in 2026.
The middle corridor now operates 76 routes reaching over 70 hub stations in more than 10 countries. The port uses a digital port system and a two-station integration mechanism to speed clearance. Cargo mix continues to improve, with new-energy vehicles and other higher-value products taking a steadily larger share.
Through 2 November 2026 the corridor had run 3,993 China-Europe trains and moved 3.9020 million tonnes of freight, up 4.0% and 24.6% year on year respectively. Both figures set historical highs for the same period, according to CCTV.
