China News Service reported from Jingdezhen on 18 October 2026 that the 2026 China Jingdezhen International Ceramics Expo opened that day in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, a city known as China's 'porcelain capital' for more than a thousand years.
The expo's programme includes the Jingdezhen Forum, an investment promotion meeting for key industries and a cross-border ceramics procurement matchmaking session, along with themed exhibitions and cultural activities such as an 'SCO Window' exhibition. More than 2,500 guests from over 90 countries and regions are attending, and more than 450 domestic and international companies, over 40 international brands, nearly 100 overseas buyers and more than 150 domestic suppliers have gathered in Jingdezhen.
On the show floor, exhibitors explained vessel shapes, decoration and firing techniques while exchanging business cards and noting buyers' requirements. A buyer from Nepal told China News Service he was looking for ceramic products suited to his local market and planned further procurement talks with Jingdezhen companies.
The exhibition covers 140,000 square metres, with sections for daily-use ceramics, cultural and creative ceramics, art ceramics, international brand ceramics, the ceramics industry chain and advanced ceramics. An online 'cloud viewing' channel was launched at the same time. The report did not give the expo's closing date.
