China News Service reported from Yangjiang on 20 October 2026 that the 25th China (Yangjiang) International Hardware, Knife and Scissors Expo opened that day at the Yangjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The show has 602 booths and brings together 266 hardware, knife and scissors companies from China and abroad, with the aim of letting global buyers go straight to source factories and buy the full product range in one place.
The expo is organized into four zones: finished products, parts and components, raw and auxiliary materials, and smart manufacturing machinery. Leading brands such as Shibazi and Wangmazi are exhibiting finished products, while 39 equipment makers are showing in the machinery hall. Exhibits there include an embedded motion-control system for machine tools, machine tools with 2-micron machining precision, and a six-axis robotic edge-sharpening workstation with gantry loading and unloading.
For the first time the show has an international zone and a public and trade services zone. Exhibitors from Germany, Switzerland, France and Japan are showing high-end and special steels and kitchen knives, and the organizers said the overseas exhibitor line-up is the largest in the event's history.
A themed pavilion for Belt and Road, RCEP and APEC markets showcases Yangjiang's leading products and processes. The organizing committee signed trade cooperation framework agreements with Guangdong business associations in Russia and Kyrgyzstan, opened an overseas service station for Yangjiang hardware and knife companies, and is hosting a Russia and Central Asia trade matchmaking session during the show.
According to the report, over the expo's 25-year history Yangjiang's hardware, knife and scissors exports have grown from 1.7 billion yuan to more than 8 billion yuan. The city accounts for 75% of China's output and 85% of its exports in the category, and its trading partners have grown from 27 to more than 160 countries and regions.
