China News reported on 22 October 2026 that the 2026 China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair (Autumn), the 35th Guzhen Lighting Fair, opened that day at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhongshan, Guangdong. The fair runs for four days under the theme "Guzhen lighting illuminates the world" and positions itself as a specialized, market-oriented and international event.

As of 12:00 on 21 October, nearly 50,000 people had completed real-name registration for the main venue, and more than 6,000 visitors from 126 overseas countries and regions had registered. Exhibitors and buyer groups from around the world visited on opening day.

Huang Xianlong, mayor of Guzhen town, said the local lighting industry has developed over more than 40 years into a cluster with a complete industrial chain and coordination between large, medium and small enterprises. He said Guzhen aims to build manufacturing, trade, design, information and technology centers for lighting, with balanced attention to traditional and smart products, quality and service.

Three projects were signed at the opening: Meituan functional unmanned logistics vehicles, a cross-border e-commerce program for Guzhen lighting going overseas, and a Guangdong home appliance open laboratory in Zhongshan. The lab is jointly built by Guzhen town, the Zhongshan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and ZTE, to pilot national smart-home interoperability standards and build an open, neutral smart-home ecosystem.

The report did not give exhibitor counts or product category breakdowns. Buyers should check the fair organizer for floor plans and exhibitor lists.
