China News reported from Hengshui on 22 October 2026 that the 2026 China Anping International Wire Mesh Expo opened in Anping County, Hebei, attracting more than 300 overseas buyers from over 60 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, Egypt and Italy, for trade and cooperation talks.
Anping is China's largest wire mesh production and sales base, and its products are sold to more than 190 countries and regions. In 2025, the county's wire mesh industry cluster generated operating revenue of 115.1 billion yuan.
A buyer from Mauritius attending for the second time said he saw a complete industry chain in Anping, covering high-end finished products, smart equipment, testing services and logistics. He said the local online industry platform handles the first matching, after which buyers visit factories and negotiate details on site. An Egyptian buyer said his company has imported galvanized wire, wire mesh machinery and wire drawing machinery from Anping for many years, and noted that metal mesh is widely used in construction, agriculture, energy and mining.
The expo runs until 24 October and will host several trade matchmaking events between Chinese and overseas businesses.
