Guangzhou China-Europe rail keeps running through Golden Week: 5 trains, 550 TEU planned, about 15 days to Europe

Guangzhou Daily (Dayoo, 4 Oct 2026) reports that on 3 October a China-Europe train left Guangzhou International Port carrying smart home appliances, clothing and footwear, and is expected to reach Europe in about 15 days. Guangzhou Station Customs says its railway fast-clearance mode links customs and rail manifest data, so shippers do not need to declare twice or file separate transit procedures. Over the holiday the station planned 5 trains with 550 TEU of goods worth nearly RMB 153 million.

On 4 October 2026, Guangzhou Daily reported that China-Europe freight trains kept running from Guangzhou during the National Day holiday. On 3 October a train loaded with Greater Bay Area made goods, including smart home appliances, clothing and footwear, departed Guangzhou International Port under the supervision of Guangzhou Station Customs, part of Guangzhou Customs. It is expected to reach European markets in about 15 days.

A local customs broker told the paper that shipments stayed on a tight schedule through the holiday to meet the sales season, with trains departing on time and declaration, inspection and release running smoothly.

Guangzhou Station Customs explained that under its railway fast-clearance mode, customs and railway manifest data are connected. Customs reviews cargo in advance using the rail manifest, so companies do not need to declare twice or apply separately for transit procedures. For this Golden Week the station planned 5 trains carrying 550 TEU, with cargo value of nearly RMB 153 million.

Guangzhou International Port's China-Europe trains now reach more than 40 cities in over 20 countries across Europe and Asia, and serve more than 5,000 foreign trade companies.
