Xinkuai Bao reported on 31 October 2026 that Phase 3 of the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is being held from 31 October to 4 November in Guangzhou under the Better Life theme.

The phase covers five segments across 21 exhibition zones: toys and maternity and baby products, fashion, home textiles, stationery, and health and leisure. Exhibition area is 515,000 square meters with 25,000 booths and more than 12,000 exhibitors, including over 3,100 premium enterprises.

A smart medical zone features 46 companies and 168 booths, presenting screening, diagnosis, rehabilitation and care products rather than hospital equipment alone. Traditional Guangdong strengths on show include Chenghai toys (annual output value over RMB 50 billion, exports to more than 140 countries and regions) and the province's trillion-yuan textile and apparel clusters, with exhibitors highlighting design, tech and green features.

Trade promotion during the phase includes exhibition-plus-overseas-livestream shopping from 1 to 3 November for buyers who cannot attend in person, a Malaysia Night co-hosted with Malaysia's Guangzhou consulate on 2 November with Zhejiang as guest province, a UNICEF China procurement briefing on 2 November, and a UNCTAD delegation of women entrepreneurs from developing countries on 1 November. Five themed livestreams cover smart medical, textiles and home textiles, China food new products, pet and personal care (Europe session), and toys.

About 190 new-product launch events are planned for Phase 3, with the number of products launched up 15%. A first-time new-product display zone highlights service robots, smart medical, intelligent manufacturing and new energy, where debuts are up about 20%.
