What this product is

A soil moisture meter is bought for pots and beds, and the part that fails is usually the rods in the dirt, not the small head above them. Rods that look bright on day one can tarnish in damp mix and then stick on a wet reading. Ask which metal is in the probe, how long the rods are, and whether the head is a radio only or also a display. A Wi-Fi meter and a Bluetooth meter are different quotes. Do not let a photo collapse them into one line. Private label on a first lot is a stake color and a logo on the head. A private garden dashboard is software and is not in the unit price. Bury the sample in damp soil you can weigh, then let that soil dry and see if the number moves with it. The head should shed water instead of holding it around the board. This card shows an indicative ex-works band for a common probe-and-head platform before freight. Radio and power paperwork are separate. A sensor in a pot is not a promise that a plant will thrive.
