On 12 October 2026, China State Railway Group published details of the nationwide freight train diagram that took effect at 18:00 on 10 October. China News Service carried the same figures the day the diagram started. The update rebalances intercity, multimodal, bulk and cross-border products to cut logistics cost and match demand.
Intercity freight: 8 express trains at up to 160 km/h, 58 fast at up to 120 km/h and 85 regular-fast at up to 80 km/h, aimed at e-commerce, express parcels and time-sensitive consumer goods between city clusters. Multimodal container trains: 101 fast and 136 regular-fast services, with continued open online booking on demonstration lanes linking Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, the Greater Bay Area and Chengdu–Chongqing. Fourteen new fast multimodal and 17 new regular-fast multimodal lanes were added, including Xi’an International Port–Wuhu East and Ganzhou International Port–Suzhou West.
Cross-border: China-Europe scheduled lanes total 96, with two new inbound returns—via Alashankou to Yulin, Shaanxi, and via Erenhot to Jinan, Shandong—to strengthen empty-equipment and return-cargo balance. Central Asia scheduled lanes total 68, adding Jinhua outbound via Pingxiang, Zhengzhou outbound via Khorgos, and Mohan inbound to Chengdu. Western Land-Sea New Corridor rail-sea frequencies and stations will be adjusted as needed.
Bulk through trains across railway bureaux number 423, with priority for power coal, grain and fertilizer. China Railway also continues 95306 digital booking, door-to-door rail-road and single-document rail-sea products, plus logistics finance tools. Importers and sourcing teams should ask forwarders which new lanes and cut-offs apply to their origin cities before mid-October bookings lock in.
