China News Service reported from Guangzhou on 28 October 2026 that Huangpu Customs briefed results for the Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center at the Guangzhou Development Zone vehicle inspection yard. In January-September the center cleared 4,559 declarations and RMB 6.3 billion of regulated cargo value, up 3.7 times and 4.1 times year on year.
Under the logistics-chain redesign plus digital supervision model, goods can move straight to the center under a cross-border express clearance path instead of staging and tallying abroad. Customs folds declaration, inspection and release into the logistics flow, with smart gates, logistics-chain visibility, a business system and panoramic monitoring. Pilot firm Jabil Electronics (Guangzhou) said warehouse cost fell about 80%, tally labour about 66%, and overall cross-border logistics time by more than half; nearly 80% of its inbound business now uses the mode.
Since opening on 31 May 2024 the center has supervised more than 1,900 cross-border vehicle trips and RMB 9.9 billion of cargo, with high-end precision electronic components above 80%. Served firms have widened beyond early pilots, and cargo types now also include daily chemicals and footwear and bag consumer goods.
