People's Daily Online Jiangsu reported on 28 October 2026 that the Guoqiang Hai completed loading at Nanjing Port Longtan container terminal with 2,890 TEU carrying more than 4,200 new-energy finished vehicles, setting a new single-ship vehicle export record for Nanjing Port. The vessel was expected to depart on 29 October for Europe, completing the port's first whole-ship NEV charter export.
At up to 80,000 deadweight tons, the ship is the largest container vessel to berth at Nanjing Port to date. Longtan worked with carriers and OEMs on a customized whole-ship charter model covering consolidation, stuffing, sailing and overseas unstuffing. Yard layout, stuffing crews and equipment coordination were upgraded so daily stuffing capacity exceeds 350 boxes and more than 1,000 vehicles.
Nanjing maritime authorities used full-factor traffic management and drone patrols for round-the-clock monitoring during arrival and berthing, with on-site patrol craft and traffic control near the berth. A Nanjing transport official said the city will keep improving ro-ro, container, CKD and rail auto-export channels, using its river-sea hub role to widen international routes for local auto industry.
