People's Daily: Shenzhen Nanshan Q1-Q3 trade hits RMB 1.17tn as customs speeds AEO and origin certificates

People's Daily Online (Guangming Daily) reported on 30 October that Shenzhen Customs data show Nanshan District trade reached RMB 1.17 trillion in Q1-Q3 2026, up 74.3%, contributing nearly 40% of Shenzhen's trade growth on under one-tenth of city land. Hi-tech exports were RMB 346.95 billion (up 62.3%). Qianhai Customs issued 9,019 certificates of origin covering about RMB 36.7 billion of preferential shipments, with paperless filing and second-level issuance for compliant applications.

People's Daily Online reported on 30 October 2026, citing Guangming Daily, that according to Shenzhen Customs statistics Nanshan District in Shenzhen recorded RMB 1.17 trillion of imports and exports in the first three quarters of 2026, up 74.3% year on year. With less than one-tenth of the city's land area, the district contributed nearly 40% of Shenzhen's foreign-trade growth.

Year-end overseas shopping seasons are lifting warehouse and terminal throughput around Shekou. Shenzhen Bambu Lab (拓竹科技) said customs coaching for AEO advanced certification, plus coordination between Qianhai Customs and Dapeng Customs on inspection bottlenecks, helped compress outbound shipping schedules during peak order periods.

Local unicorns and specialised SMEs are expanding exports: Pudu Technology said exports account for more than 80% of sales; Maquetian Medical (麦科田医疗) said overseas sales reach more than 140 countries and regions and 47.1% of revenue. Nanshan hi-tech product exports in the first three quarters were RMB 346.95 billion, up 62.3%, nearly 60% of the district's export total. From 3D printers to industrial robots, Yuejiang (Dobot) logistics staff said one-to-one customs coaching and facilitation measures help products reach overseas customers faster.

On cost and preference, Shenzhen Rock Times (洛克时代) said under customs guidance it obtained China-ASEAN and China-Korea certificates of origin, cutting tariffs in some markets from above 10% toward zero. Qianhai Customs uses an enterprise coordinator model for origin-rule briefings and classification coaching, with paperless declaration, smart review and self-print so compliant certificates issue in seconds. In the first three quarters it issued 9,019 certificates of origin covering about RMB 36.7 billion of preferential cargo value.

Nanshan government and Shenzhen Customs have run a five-year cooperation memorandum since 2021 with annual work lists on port business environment and export vitality. Qianhai Customs now links with the district commerce bureau and Qianhai Authority under a 1+N liaison model. District trade touched more than 230 countries and regions; trade with other APEC economies was RMB 783.3 billion, up 73.7%.
