CCTV Finance reported on 1 November 2026 that Phase 3 of the 140th Canton Fair opened offline on 31 October, marking the fair's 70th anniversary year. The phase keeps the Better Life theme across toys and maternity/baby, fashion, home textiles, stationery, and health and leisure: 21 zones, 515,000 square meters, 25,000 booths and more than 12,000 exhibitors. A trade-services area with over 160 institutions offers design, digital transformation and trade-investment support.
As Phase 3 began, some deals from Phases 1 and 2 were already moving from booth intent into factory production and delivery. E-scooters and large-screen TVs showed strong demand, with Europe, the US and Middle East markets growing quickly. Overseas buyers sampling on site shortened the cycle from intent to firm order by about 30% versus previous editions.
At one Guangdong electronics plant, workers were assembling nearly 700 e-scooters for a South America customer after fair matchmaking deepened Europe and US placements and lifted overall order scale. A Guangdong appliance maker said urgent Middle East and North America orders for large TVs taken at the fair were on rush production with overtime to meet delivery dates.
CCTV framed the booth-to-workshop handoff as evidence that face-to-face sampling is converting into real export orders and keeping Chinese manufacturers busy on delivery through the rest of the autumn fair window.
