People's Daily, carrying a Workers Daily report on 1 November 2026, said China State Railway Group confirmed that the X8059 China-Europe train leaving Shenyang Puhe for Moscow took cumulative China-Europe Railway Express runs past 140,000, with goods value above USD 560 billion.
China Railway said it keeps optimizing the western, central and eastern corridors inside China. Scheduled China-Europe routes at 120 km/h inside China now total 96 and connect 132 domestic cities. Outside China, northern, central and southern corridors run in parallel to 237 cities in 26 European countries and more than 100 cities in 12 Asian countries.
The group said it is working with countries along the routes on infrastructure and operating rules. In May 2026 the network set a monthly record of 1,965 trains and 197,000 TEU.
For procurement and logistics teams, the milestone mainly signals a denser, more regularly scheduled Eurasia rail option alongside ocean for time-sensitive or inland-destination cargo.
