China News Service reported from Guangzhou on 26 October 2026 that Brazilian buyer Ana Luiza Consoni said at the 140th Canton Fair that Christmas demand in Brazil is strong and that she came to meet quality Chinese suppliers and plan 2027 Christmas decoration purchases.
The Canton Fair is an important platform for Chinese Christmas and festive decorations. This edition shows several new export trends: artificial intelligence has become a channel for overseas buyers to share creative ideas; consumer scenes are expanding from indoor to outdoor; and emerging markets are growing.
Ru Yuan, purchasing head at Zhuguang Group Zhejiang Import & Export, said many overseas buyers now send AI-generated creative videos and ask factories to make matching lighting products. The videos look striking, but the gap between virtual images and physical goods is large, so R&D teams must refine designs until they are manufacturable and close to the video look.
Zheng Weihong, deputy general manager of foreign trade at Guangdong Yinghao Crafts, said buyers are shifting from small decoration balls to larger styles as more consumers want outdoor courtyard displays. Zhang Xiaoming, sales manager at Sanya Huifan Technology, said more than 80% of the company's new products this year use telescopic or foldable structures to save ocean freight, and many pieces combine lighting, music and fountain features. The firm is expanding in Southeast Asia and South America and spends about 25% of revenue on R&D each year.
Zheng also said demand is steady in Thailand, the Philippines and other Asian markets, and that the company is developing multi-festival products, including zodiac-themed New Year decor for Russia. Ru said confidence for 2027 holiday orders rests on product innovation, and that on the fair floor Christmas talks continue but purchasing has moved from pure price comparison to creativity, efficiency and supply-chain resilience.
