People's Daily Zhejiang reported on 25 October 2026, citing Taizhou Daily, that Jinwen Railway under Zhejiang Communications Group said on 24 October that Taizhou-made finished vehicles shipped by rail through Toumen Port station for global export have surpassed 10,000 units in total.
Toumen Port station is next to Geely Auto's Linhai manufacturing base. Cars can drive from the plant into the rail yard for loading, which the report says cuts cost. Since the dedicated finished-vehicle trains began, new energy vehicles have moved by rail to coastal ports for export and become an important exit path for local makers. More than 10,000 vehicles have left for more than 20 countries.
In 2026, Taizhou auto export demand has stayed strong and overseas demand for locally made passenger cars has roughly doubled. Jinwen Railway works with China Railway Special Cargo and customer plants on plant-specific plans, covering yard entry, loading and securing, and waybill formalities so trains leave on time and connect to sailings.
Daily finished-vehicle loading capacity at Toumen Port station has reached about 240 units, and the operator plans to unlock more capacity as customer demand grows. The service will keep running on a regular schedule.
