China News reported on 25 October 2026, citing CCTV News Client, that it was day three of Phase 2 of the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). Phase 2 focuses on Quality Home Life. Exhibitors are using integrated supply to meet overseas demand for scene-based home products and stronger project support, moving foreign trade from scale growth toward higher quality and returns.
In the prefabricated housing and courtyard facilities zone, traffic was heavy. One deformable integrated house uses a self-developed electric telescopic drive and can switch in about 40 seconds between a closed indoor mode and an open outdoor courtyard mode, with rain shelter, shade, ventilation and viewing functions that drew crowds during demos.
Christopher, a Canadian buyer attending for the second time, looked at an all-in-one prefabricated house. He said Canada faces tight housing supply and long, costly traditional builds, and that China's manufacturing standard and integrated packages are competitive. Cesar Savino, a Brazilian buyer, said Brazil has many infrastructure projects and strong demand for construction equipment, and that talking directly with manufacturers and inspecting equipment at the fair saves time compared with visiting many sites and exchanging samples repeatedly.
More home categories are upgrading toward complete sets. About 36.5% of exhibitors at this Canton Fair have shifted to a product-plus-service model.
