China News reported from Nanning on 26 October 2026 that Beibu Gulf International Port Group said 124 LiuGong excavators and matching parts recently left Qinzhou Port's Dalanping terminal on the vessel Jupiter for a direct sailing to Jakarta, Indonesia. The shipment set a new single-voyage record for the number of engineering machinery units exported through Beibu Gulf Port.
The cargo covered multiple excavator models plus parts. As oversized, non-standard project cargo, it needed tighter vessel stowage, lifting methods and on-site safety controls than ordinary breakbulk. Qinzhou Terminal Company worked with the freight forwarder, ship interests and logistics partners in advance, checking equipment parameters with mechanical and maintenance teams and drafting a dedicated loading and securing plan around hold capacity, deadweight and stability, with lifting gear matched to each unit.
Before lift, units were staged at the quay with paint and track protection. Lifting was controlled for speed and alignment to limit collision or tilt risk. The port said the move shows its capability on heavy project cargo and that it will keep working with regional equipment makers to keep ASEAN export lanes open.
