China News Zhejiang reported on 4 November 2026 that after several days of loading at Wenzhou Port's Yueqing Bay zone, Ro-Ro vessel Yuanhang Yang sailed with more than 2,800 Chinese-made cars. The sailing marks the formal start of automobile Ro-Ro foreign-trade operations at Yueqing Bay.
Wenzhou Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station, working with Wenzhou maritime and other border units, prepared services around berthing, vehicle loading and outbound clearance. Officers mapped vehicle inspection zones and coordinated checks with port loading so the multi-day stuffing window could proceed without disrupting clearance.
The report frames Yueqing Bay as a key port node on the Jinhua-Lishui-Wenzhou open corridor. Adding auto Ro-Ro further diversifies Zhejiang's coastal vehicle-export channels and gives southern Zhejiang and nearby exporters another ocean option besides existing coastal Ro-Ro gateways.
Because the first large-scale Ro-Ro call involved concentrated vehicle arrivals and shifting load plans, border inspection adjusted duty timing to match yard progress while keeping border controls in place. Bookers should still confirm berth windows, yard cutoffs and export papers with port agents for follow-on sailings.
